A multinational process outsourcing organization’s success depends on its ability to deploy world class training to its people around the globe. Prospective clients often evaluate service providers in part by evaluating their training operations for new hires, as well as ongoing training for existing employees and management. Sutherland is committed to support their associates with world class development processes. This commitment led to the establishment of two training focuses: the Center of Learning and the Academy of Excellence.

   Center of Learning
 

The Center of Learning provides initial training for new hires as well as ongoing leadership development training for current associates. The training focus of the Center of Learning is to improve communications, business and technical competence, as well as initial leadership training.

The Center of Learning has several important objectives:

  • Talent sourcing from pre-hire training (generating a qualified applicant pool)
  • Providing candidates and associates with critical job skills for success on their specific program, including: language, accent, and product/process training
  • Ensuring consistency in the quality of candidates so as to enable optimal service delivery
  • Developing a pool of talent with the critical skills necessary to progress in their SGS roles
  • Improving employee performance, motivation, and commitment to continuous self-development


   Academy of Excellence
 

The Academy of Excellence was established to foster general leadership and business skills as well as preparation for roles at Sutherland extending beyond client engagements.

As an associate progresses into a supervisor role, the Academy of Excellence provides the following:

  • Career development programs with career tracks
  • Identification and nomination of future leaders including MBA candidates
  • A conduit to plan and track management development activities which are prompted by the company’s Succession Planning review
  • Leadership training/workshops
  • International Certifications in two streams Technical( A+, N+ , MCP etc.,) and Management( PMP, 6 Sigma COPC, ISO, BS7799 and PCMM)
